Although by all accounts, Joanna Dennehy had a happy childhood and proved herself at school, her behavior rapidly deteriorated during her later teenage years. Alongside a growing reputation for violence and intimidation, she also developed an ability to control men. Later diagnosed as having sado masochistic paraphilia, sex also dominated her life. In 2013, in Peterborough she lured two of her three male victims to their death with the promise of sex. Her spree ended with two frenzied knife attacks in broad daylight. Although her male victims survived, the escalating violence displayed shocked detectives. In 2014, Dennehy was sentenced to a whole life term for her despicable crimes.
