Warm and funny and it was a terrific balm for my dismay back when they finally brought back Start Trek in a new series, but then put it behind the Paramount+ paywall, which I thought was anathema to the ST ethos. This show feels like a somewhat more humorous extension of ST:TNG, rather than something completely different. Since I now have Paramount+, I decided to finally watch the final Orville episode, which I had been saving like a treasure. (It did not disappoint, with a pitch-perfect (literally) ending.) This show is definitely my favorite thing that Seth MacFarlane has ever done!
Might be my most desired for another season
Wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this as much as I did, but despite kind of being a parody of Star Trek/similar, it does a great job a lot of the time at being its own thing. Good stories, decent writing, acting, editing. Audio/sound mixing/engineering is awesome.
