The Handmaid's Tale is highly addictive and unique, with a gripping plot that keeps viewers on edge. It draws parallels to current events, depicting a disturbing yet compelling dystopia. Some find it a critique of cult-like power rather than true Christianity. Early seasons are praised, but later ones less so. One viewer preferred the book and movie over the series.
A frightening depiction of life in the US if the right wing continues to gain power. Parallels to current events feel like foreshadowing. Disturbing but addictive. Incredibly well done.
I love this show! But I have a different opinion of what others think about “what would happen if the right took over”. These people are not truly Christian’s. They are a cult with their sites on money, power and making people into slaves to do their bidding! This is NOT Christ-like people, which is why I’m attracted to it. I am a Christian. These people are only “claiming” to be Christian. This is what happens to the cult mindset when given too much power. (Think Jim Jones and the massacre of so many)
I love this show, but Sarah Klecka, you have blinders on! How you cannot see the parallels to the current administration (regime) and modern day Republicans is beyond me! If you are Christian and believe in what is going on in this country, YOU ARE in the cult!
