The Big Day: Krystle

Krystle Rossi aspires to look like a "sexy Barbie doll" bride. She wants her wedding to be over the top, and she has a precise vision that includes countless crystals and candy. She's been spoiled by her father all her entire life and is very comfortable spending his money to throw the wedding of her dreams. She met her fiancé, Michael Speets, at an ugly Christmas party and after 4 years of dating he proposed with a band of mariachis to serenade her.Krystle found the dress of her dreams at Kleinfeld despite objections from her mother and sister. However, everyone could agree that her venue is gorgeous. Situated on the Santa Barbara coast, her opulent ballroom is where she meets her new wedding planner for the first time (after firing the first for lack of enthusiasm). Though initially concerned about whether the new planner, Alex, would understand her vision for a crystal studded candy dreamland, her fears are quickly allayed. Alex is totally on board, but it is up to Krystle's dad whether or not he will pay for all the luxurious details she demands.After continually adding luxury items to her wish list, Krystle's dad confronts her on her lavish spending. He scolds her for not being thoughtful of the budget and threatens to make deep cuts. This sets Krystle into a tailspin of disillusionment. Soon she is unhappy with everything. She hates the invitations she ordered because they don't look fancy enough. Returning to Kleinfeld, Krystle melts down during her dress fitting when she sees her dress because "it looks yellow". Her flowers give some relief because, though not perfect, they look ok. However, that appointment is marred when she hears her dad has indeed cut back on some of her demands.One big item on her list is her candy bar, which makes her so excited that her fiancé Mike begs her to calm down. This is a big mistake, as Krystle does not like to be told what to do or how to act. She and Mike get into a huge fight that leads Krystle to chase her fiancé out to the parking lot to confront him. After some cooling down and a pre-wedding botox session, Krystle and Mike reconcile and pack for their wedding weekend in Santa Barbara. Everything seems perfect until it's time to do Krystle's wedding day hair and makeup. She hates the work her stylist has done and breaks down, throwing a tantrum as she grabs her own makeup and beats her face.After finishing her own hair and makeup, Krystle steps into her dress which she's come to love. With her fiancé Mike crying at the altar, Krystle walks down the aisle looking like a perfect bombshell bride. At her reception, she discovers that her dad caved to all the demands and gave Krystle everything and more that she wanted. Her furniture and tables are covered with crystals and her candy bar is large and indulgent. Even though she spent months planning a wedding that revolved around her, Krystle surprises Mike with a mariachi band similar to the one he used to propose. Mike is floored and ecstatic and the happy couple party the night away at their wedding surrounded by friends, family, crystals and candy!
