The Big Day: Patti-Anne

Patti-Anne Davis is a bubbly bride from Chicago who is always the life of the party! She and her fiancé Cory are having a destination wedding in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Resort. Patti-Anne has loved Corey since she was 11 years old. In high school, they played in a band together but they didn't start dating until Corey's 30th birthday two years ago. They both feel as if they've been given a second chance at love and they can't wait to start their life together. On her wedding day, Patti-Anne wants to "look like a mermaid with dry hair." To help her channel her inner mythical sea creature, Patti Anne goes to Kleinfeld where she falls in love with a $7,000 beaded mermaid gown by Mark Zunino. Patti-Anne has the dress shipped to Chicago for alterations and when it arrives, it's the wrong color and size! The dress needs to be sent back to New York City but with only a month until the wedding, will it be fixed in time? Patti-Anne and Corey may be getting married in paradise but planning a wedding 1,300 miles away isn't always idyllic. Since the wedding is in the Bahamas, they are assigned a planner by the resort. They must rely on Tiffany, a woman they have never met, to pick out almost everything for their wedding: the photographer, videographer, the DJ and the florist. While most of the planning is done via email or Skype, many details must be finalized when they arrive in the Bahamas just days before the wedding, including a last minute change in wedding location that causes friction between Patti-Anne and her mother. When her big day arrives, everything seems to fall into place. She is delighted to spend her last 'free' night with her parents, and despite previous fears, her wedding day is a huge success, which is duly celebrated in true Caribbean style!
