Canadiens/Bruins: The Game

The Boston Bruins hosted their second Winter Classic on Friday, but there's no question the entire event belonged to the visiting team. In front of over 67,000 oft-disgruntled fans at Gillette Stadium, the Montreal Canadiens left little doubt about their dominance in a 5-1 win. The victory meant the Habs took first place in the Atlantic Division away from the Florida Panthers. Habs goalie Mike Condon, a Massachusetts native, earned the win.Perfect weather conditions greeted the two teams as they took the ice in the New England Patriots home stadium. The Canadiens controlled the pace of play from the outset, and got on the board early with a goal from David Desharnais in the first two minutes.
