Ratings & Reviews
The Reelgood Score is a comprehensive weighted index designed to evaluate movie & TV quality, deriving its value from a blend of Reelgood user engagement, external ratings metrics expressed through content popularity, and user feedback, including ratings such as "loved," "liked," and "disliked." The score is presented on a scale from 1 to 100, where 100 signifies content that is highly esteemed and positively rated within the community.
Seasons 1-2 of "For All Mankind" are praised for their problem-solving, historical dramatization, and compelling characters. Season 3 introduces advanced tech and more personal drama, with some plot holes but remains well-crafted. Season 4 is criticized for new, underdeveloped characters, unrealistic conflicts, and a significant drop in quality.
It’s interesting but is a little too focused on relationships between the characters
Seasons 1-2 are brilliant- the problem-solving, the dramatized real life historical situations, and sharply drawn, nuanced, compelling characters. . The alt-history aspect is really well thought out.Season 3 introduces tech far more advanced than what we have. Less problem-solving, more personal drama. Plot holes and inconsistencies start appearing but its still a very well-crafted show.Season 4 is a dumpster fire. Lots of new characters but we don't get to know them and we're not given reasons to be interested in them. "Red shirts" abound.Established characters behave in ways that aren't justified by circumstances or their histories. A workplace conflict that in real life could be easily managed turns into an absurd multi-episode farce. It's so unrealistic it feels like the studio or show creators wanted to deliberately insult organized labor (prob. bc of the writers strike).Terrible loss in quality for a series that had excellent earlier seasons.
It started out great, but had jumped the shark by season 3. It’s unwatchable now.
