A Miracle in El Milagro

Father Camilo decides to leave the priesthood. Meanwhile, Rogelio does all he can to help Jiménez recover his memory. His efforts are in vain: Jiménez can’t remember his relationship with María Marta. Rogelio feels responsible for Father Camilo’s departure, but the priest assures Rogelio that he has grown as a person and now needs to be the leader of El Milagro parish. Rogelio decides to go through with his plans for the seminary. María Marta prepares for her wedding with Jiménez as Rogelio watches sadly. At the altar, Jiménez forgets María Marta’s name and accuses Rogelio of giving him a “cheat sheet” to get through the ceremony. The wedding gets ruined; María Marta is furious with Rogelio and runs off, disillusioned. Lázaro consoles María Marta and she confesses that she loves Rogelio. Juan exposes Rogelio as an impostor, and María Marta, disgusted, decides to sell their house to Burgos and leave El Milagro. However, the miraculous appearance of Rogelio’s portrait on a wall changes everything, making him the new neighborhood saint.
