It really digs into what rebellion costs, feeling more real and intense than your usual Star Wars fare. It’s gritty, it’s grounded, and the way it’s shot just feels incredibly authentic.
Best thing since Empire. Or my Ewok village tree fort toy.
The best Star Wars made outside of the original trilogy and Rogue One. An exceptional show.
A really well done series - good scripts and stories, believable and brilliant acting, and a very good portrayal of the nasty, slow creep of authoritarianism. Episodes come as packages spanning a short story, which means although sometimes slow paced, the pay off and the variety are excellent - there’s a heist, there’s a prison story, there’s a fugitive hunt - and all are done so well. It stands in its own right as a fantastic series, without its Star Wars attachment. With that attachment, it’s one of the best things made.
