Kimberly is American, and Barrie is from Cape Town, South Africa. After dating for a few months, Barrie took Kim home to South Africa to meet his mother, who took an instant liking to her son's new girlfriend. But with Kim's visa running out, Barrie quit his job in London and decided to return to New York to be with her. Their first step in the States was a seven-week road trip through across the country. After being together 24/7 for almost two months and having a great time, Barrie knew he had made the right decision. He felt if Kim could put up with him during the trip she was the person he wanted to spend his life with. Their hectic wedding preparations include Kimberly's 85-year old aunt from North Carolina who's making the wedding dress by hand.

Jeff was immediately smitten, but only after helping her earn an A did Kristin agree to go out with him. They immediately became an exclusive couple but medical schools, residency programs, and family illness would keep them on opposite sides of the country for ten years. Despite the distance, both Kristin and Jeff fought with absolute love and devotion to keep their relationship alive. After finishing his psychology residency in New York, Jeff took a position in the Sacramento area where he patiently waits for Kristin to join him after she completes her pediatric residency in Los Angeles. Their wedding celebration reflects their diverse backgrounds, mixing traditional Vietnamese and Catholic rituals with a Hawaiian flair.

Keith told Emily he was crazy about her, and she said, "I know," before admitting that she felt the same way. Later that night, they shared their first kiss on a park bench, where several months later, Keith would return to propose.

Now, with a new found sense of identity and the man she loves by her side, Sheila attempts to combine two very distinct cultures into new wedding tradition. The only thing she needs to do now is to brush-up on her Farsi in time for the ceremony!

Getting on the same page about marriage, however, took a bit longer. After seven years, the couple has finally decided to exchange vows. As the wedding approaches, they're enjoying the fun and frustration of planning a non-traditional ceremony complete with a friend officiating, hot pink bridal gown, and cupcakes instead of a cake.

Mariann and Carl hit it off, eventually splitting from the group and spending the evening together. They started dating soon afterward. When Carl went into the hospital for surgery, Mariann visited him every day, opening Carl's eyes and her own to their strong love for each other. They've been together for nine years, and now the two will make it official in an interfaith ceremony at New York's Grand Central Terminal where they first set eyes on each other.

As the crowds were thinning down and the swans were gathering under the wooden footbridge in front of the castle, Sam dropped to one knee and asked Connie to make him the happiest man on Earth. Their wedding combines their strong ties to their families, their unending faith in God, and their love of all things Disney.

After planning an elaborate Florida wedding, a hurricane swept through and cancelled their first ceremony. A few weeks later, another hurricane caused the cancellation of their second ceremony. Giving up on Florida, the couple decided to move the wedding to New York where they first met. Now, they're hoping their guests will make a third trip to celebrate with them and that Mother Nature doesn't rear her ugly head.
