Jul 24, 2010Jenn and Anthony Jul 24, 2010 John, Amy and their two-year old daughter Sophia are growing out of their three-bedroom home. There's plenty of room... they just have way too much furniture crammed into the place. Amy works from home and has three jobs. Her work materials are scattered all over the house, even in the guest bathroom. She has a home office, but it's so cluttered with furniture that it's impossible to work in. Robbie convinces the family to get rid of a few big ticket items. Designer Leslie has her work cut out for her trying to figure out a furniture layout for the still cluttered living room. Rib repurposes a huge shelving unit to house their TV and stereo. He even makes doors out of scrap wood and chicken wire to keep little Sophia out of the equipment. Finally, the whole team works together to design and organize the home office so that Amy can have a great work environment.

Jul 31, 2010Rhonda and Michael Jul 31, 2010 Jay and Stephanie have two young daughters with another child on the way. Luckily, Jay's parents come from out of town to help care for the girls a few days a week. Unluckily for Grandma and Grandpa, they have to stay in the family's guest room - a red, cluttered, mess that looks more like a flophouse then a bedroom! With six people in the home at any given time, it's very cramped, especially in the kitchen and living room. The team's first step is to declutter the main living spaces. The kitchen is so packed that the spillover gets housed in the living room closet, which Robbie wants to turn into an actual coat closet. Once the clutter and the family is gone, our team works overtime to make this home a welcoming and functional living space. Rib builds a desk and shelving unit to deal with the living room clutter. Leslie makes a proper guest room for the grandparents and organizer Robbie works to make the kitchen function.

Aug 7, 2010Jay and Stephani Aug 7, 2010 Jen and Anthony's three-bedroom home is completely dysfunctional. Their young two kids have practically taken over the living room with toys and coats. Anthony loves to cook, but the small, cramped kitchen makes cooking pretty difficult, especially if you want to use more than one cooking surface. And then there's the master bedroom: there's hardly any floor space due to shoe racks, laundry and an ironing board. Once our team gets Jen and Anthony to pare down their clutter, they can get to work making this house beautiful and functional. Leslie has neat trick to cover up the dated kitchen cabinets using hardboard and grass wallpaper. Robbie works on rebuilding the closet organizers to work with the couple's remaining clothing and Rib retrofits two existing bookshelves with a newly built TV unit to create an amazing wall storage unit for books, toys and electronics.

Aug 21, 2010Nick and Rachel Aug 21, 2010 Sharon and Michael live in a beautiful home, but have absolutely no design sense between the two of them. The entryway features their dining room table, the walls are painted bright crayon colors and there's absolutely no art on the blank walls. Mike and Sharon bump into each other constantly in the small and cluttered kitchen, and their breakfast nook has turned into an explosion of art projects done by their two children. Worst of all, their bedroom has become one massive laundry center. Leslie creates a modern, grown-up feel in the home, while organizer Robbie helps the family solve the laundry crisis. Rib turns the kitchen into a functional work space thanks to some amazing finds in the basement.

Nick & Rachel, Mercer Island, WA Nick & Rachel first met in the 2nd grade, and although they are all grown up now, in many ways they are still big kids when it comes to their home. Their walls are beige, their furniture is mismatched and too big and they both have trouble throwing anything away. But that is nothing compared to the mounds of clothing covering two bedrooms and the laundry room. The mountain of clothes has driven Nick to set up his office in the dining room. This young couple needs a more grown-up house for their grown-up lives. Robbie takes the lead in this house, sorting, folding and hanging the clothes to create a more functional space. The dining room gets a much needed liberation of junk by Rib, who makes a shelving unit out of found items in the house. Leslie creates an office space that Nick can call his own.
