The reviews praise "The Warriors" for its impressive depiction of grit, grime, and counter-culture angst. The film's youthful energy and well-shot scenes, especially the dreamy subway sequences, are highlighted. The cinematography, soundtrack, action, occasional humor, and a bit of romance are also appreciated.
It’s been roughly 10 years since I last watched The Warriors. I still find it to be such an impressive work that conveys grit, grime and counter-culture angst. The youthfulness of this film really shines through. While I no longer relate to (or admire) the characters as strongly as I did a decade ago, it still provides such a vicarious experience.A remarkably well shot movie as well. The dreamy halation on the subways is just superb. One of my favorite opening credits of all time.I’ll always have a special place in my heart for The Warriors.
My favorite movie of all time. Great cinematography. Soundtrack awesome. Action to the nines. Occasionally humorous (Vermin) A bit of a love story. And a great ending What else could you want!!!
