If you, like me, are a horror completionist, you are shuddering at the thought of watching this to finish off John Landis’s filmography. I am here to tell you to watch it. Yes, the title is very cringy, and it looks like it could be an embarrassing entry into Landis’s declining catalog, but give it a chance, there are enough little nuggets to make it work. It’s a spiritual sequel to The Jerk, and well made - great sets, costumes, and actors. Don’t like Tom Arnold? The cameos by Mick Garris and David Cronenberg will get you through. By the time you reach the scene with Christopher Lee as a mail-stealing, dapper Satan on lush throne in a Bava-esque Hell, you’ll realize it was worth the investment of your time.
