The Royal Tenenbaums

This is one of Wes Anderson’s best. Funny, charming, touching and wacky (as usual). Great cast. Many of his regulars are in this but I especially enjoyed the late, great Gene Hackman, effortlessly and perfectly playing the scoundrel patriarch of the family seeking redemption. If you like Wes Anderson, you’ll enjoy this and if you don’t like him, give it a shot. While a little strange, it’s a lot less so then many of his other movies.
