Ratings & Reviews
The Reelgood Score is a comprehensive weighted index designed to evaluate movie & TV quality, deriving its value from a blend of Reelgood user engagement, external ratings metrics expressed through content popularity, and user feedback, including ratings such as "loved," "liked," and "disliked." The score is presented on a scale from 1 to 100, where 100 signifies content that is highly esteemed and positively rated within the community.
I didn't see the reason for the low Reelgood user ratings. I agree with IMDB's. This was a historical look at various key moments in J. Edgar Hoover's life as opposed to a continuous story, deftly edited to look continuous. It was interesting to see the depiction of various Presidents and key figures during his tenure, e.g., LBJ, Bobby Kennedy, MLK Jr., Nixon. The scene with MLK Jr. and J. Edgar Hoover was perhaps the most interesting. Ironically, the actor depicting J. Edgar Hoover, who did a good job of depicting a personality (presumably J. Edgar Hoover's) had somewhat of a likeness to LBJ, who was instead depicted by a well-known actor in this film.
