Mixed reviews for "The Menu." Highlights include strong performances by Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes, dark humor, and smart writing. Some found it psychologically engaging and visually stunning, while others felt it lacked tension and was boring. Opinions on the ending and overall impact varied.
I don’t want to waste any more time with this film than it already deserves by picking apart why I think it sucks, but the greatest sin of The Menu is that it’s just plain boring. It lacks any real tension because you’re given absolutely no reason to care about any of the characters. Just a snooze fest that pretends to have something important to say.
Darkly comic, twilight-zonish story. Great performances by the usually impressive Ralph Fiennes and newly impressive Anja Taylor-Joy. Weird but definitely worth the watch.
One of the best movies zi have seen in a long time
