"Matrix Resurrections" is seen as a bold critique of reboots, appreciated for its daring approach but also evoking mixed feelings. Some viewers miss the original Matrix's essence, while others find the ending cliché. Overall, it's considered worth watching, though opinions on its execution vary.
The Matrix has always been one of my favorite films since seeing it as a kid. It totally expanded my mind, and they were so far ahead of their time with the various shooting techniques they came up with while filming. This last episode was a fun return to the world of The Matrix, but I found the ending to be comically cliché and eye-roll-inducing. That being said, it’s definitely still worth a watch.
Matrix Resurrections: a massive middle finger to reboots and the folks clamoring for them. I liked it in that sense but it kind of made me sad? Gotta give it to Lana for doing the damn thing.I’m really happy that a movie like this exists, especially now. I'm not really sure where I land on this one. On one hand I get it, on the other I'm clinging to the Matrix I know and love, and this certainly isn't it. And that's my problem, not Resurrections.I'm stumped.Need a rewatch or two to digest more.
