"The Invisible Man" is praised for its solid horror elements, stellar performance by Moss, haunting score, and practical effects. The shot panning and designs are highlighted as must-see. Some found it predictable but still engaging, while others felt the tension dissipated early. One review criticized the excessive end credits.
This is what solid horror looks like. Leigh Whannell and company absolutely knocked it out of the park with The Invisible Man.Moss has an absolutely stellar performance and the score is haunting. This is just genuine fun. Not to mention the practical effects. Cheese and rice. The shot panning and designs are must see cinema.I really thought this was wonderful. If you can, take some time and check this one out in theaters. Won’t dive too far into the overall message but I appreciated that this film had something to say about abusive relationships as well.AVOID ALL THE TRAILERS. Just go in blind, you’ll love it.4/5
The cast is good, but the movie is merely 'okay'. It really could have been something exceptional, but instead it was just . . . meh. It was largely predictable and the tension and 'scare' falls away within the first half hour.I would have given it a very tentative 'like', but then the film was followed by NINTEEN MINUTES OF CREDITS. Seriously, 20% of the run-time is the end credits. For that alone, this film deserves an enormous "fuck you".
She knocks it out if the park again! Great storyline! Whoa! AI is getting scary!!! Great cast! Worth the watch! Thriller!!!
