With both Dr. Pretorius and Frankenstein himself, Boris Karloff, in lead roles I couldn’t help but have high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, despite the few dashes of atmosphere, the decent sets, and a cute leading lady, this one is tripped up by a clumsy plot and a lack of any tension. It’s a real shame.
