"The Flash" received mixed reviews. Positives include Ezra Miller's dual role, Michael Keaton's return as Batman, and humor. Sasha Calle's Supergirl was praised but had limited screen time. Criticisms focused on inconsistent CGI, a convoluted plot, and overused multiverse and time travel themes. Some found it fun with good cameos, while others felt it was slow and disjointed.
The Flash to me was very good! A fitting end to the DCEU, it was very funny with Ezra Miller playing the 2 Barry Allen’s, Ben Affleck and Micheal Keaton were both amazing as Batman, and Sasha Calle was amazing as Supergirl although she wasn’t in it for very long. The Multiverse was explained nicely although people are getting burnt out on the Multiverse movies. The CGI was sometimes really good in certain scenes and bad in others, although that might be to time restraints and reshoots. All in all, The Flash was a very fun time and I give it a 8/10!
Is okay. A lot of action, crash scenes, & special effects. This version of the Flash is sillier than that in the long-running series. Flashbacks, some odd (arena-like), provide the plot for the movie, with some humor. What seemed to be a simple solution to a complex problem piqued my interest, but, as usual, impossible. The revealing of the problem moved the movie from a silly mish-mash to intriguing, Michael Keaton was great to see again in this role, and it was good writing to add my favorite line from his 1989 film, albeit in a different context. A drawn-out series of scenes follows, then some tender moments, and a couple of surprises to close with. Altogether, a clever use of a myriad of actors playing superhero roles, reminiscent of a Robert Altman film, where his objective seemed to be to get as many in the same film. I don't think I've ever seen as lengthy a list of uncredited actors/actresses in any other movie. Stay for the beginning of the closing credits for something novel yet weird as well.
