The film is praised for its immersive portrayal of a character's mind, with a deliberately confusing narrative that evokes empathy. Performances are described as stellar, and the direction is meticulous in detail. It's noted as a powerful, heartbreaking depiction of life's fragility.
Empathy, I've never seen a movie as immersive in a character's mind as this one. The whole narrative is confusing, because it's meant to be, sensations, strangeness, real or unreal, repetitions. The performances here are beyond marvelous, they're stellar, it's a masterly work, cast and direction, they take care of every detail, every feeling, every image, every sound. A powerful movie that shows how fragile life can be, it's heartbreaking.
Intense movie, and probably not too far off the mark when it comes to dementia and aging. Dramatic end indeed though, a must see!
