"Summer of 84" was... just alright, lol. Preeeeeetty predictable. And not really in a fun way :') Think "Rear Window" but with h0rny teenagers instead of Jimmy Stewart. Very clearly trying to eat up the 80's nostalgia but without being really that 80's?? Like aside from clothing and a few very minor references, this easily could have been a movie from like, any other era. Pretty banger soundtrack tho, and a nice "Polybius" easter egg that tickled me. I did really like the teen actors tho. They felt like real teens, instead of like... adults playing teens lmao. I'll give it a 2 out of 5. Not unforgivably unwatchable, but also nothing really special :')
