Sodura
Sodura is a young woman from the Tsaatan, the reindeer people of the eastern Mongolian taiga, a formerly nomadic tribe who have now settled. As a little girl, she relocated to the big city when her parents died, but growing up there she found herself unable to adapt to the city lifestyle, and ran away from an abusive lover, returning to her home in the taiga, heartbroken. Her tribe blames her coming home pregnant with outsider's child. The only person who understands her pain is a childhood friend.
