"Sick" is suspenseful and creepy, with strong action scenes. However, it lacks character development and has overly dark visuals. Some scenes feel unnecessarily drawn-out, making the film feel longer than its 80-minute runtime. It's more appealing to those new to the slasher genre.
Most of the movie is dark, so there's really nothing to look at. It's not character driven at all, the only worthwhile scenes are the action scenes. Despite being only an hour and twenty minutes, I feel like they could've edited down around 30 minutes off of it and kept the same basic movie. Might be great if you've only seen a few slashers, but horror veterans are going to be waiting long periods for very little payoff. (It's there, but like I said, some scenes are unnecessarily drawn-out.)The action sequences were worth watching, but just the one time. I won't be re-watching it probably.
One of the better horror film in this genre.
