This was my favorite movie for a very time. That spot may have gone to V for Vendetta, but there’s a lot of things to admire here; RDJ is the stellar lead of a stellar cast, especially Mark Strong and Jude Law. Hans Zimmer does a magnificent job, as always (I’d put this as his number 3 score). The action and the set-pieces are engaging, and the slo-mo really works here. The plot is full of intrigue from the start to the masterful conclusion. Also, plenty of laughs. Go watch it, and the sequel, and cross your fingers for a conclusion to the trilogy.
