"Promising Young Woman" features strong imagery, music, and performances, particularly from Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham. However, it has pacing issues and a climax that some found cheesy. The ending received mixed reactions, with one reviewer loving it while another felt let down by the big reveal.
Solid (but some times beat-you-over-the-head obvious) imagery, music and performance. The timelessness of each set piece drives home a story that’s unfortunately as old as time.Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham are superb and I’m continually impressed with the latter.Promising Young Woman had some pacing issues for me and the big reveal wasn’t quite as earth-shattering as I’d hoped, at least based on the buzz and foreshadowing. I felt a bit let down in the end as the climax seems a bit cheesy to me? (I’m going to think about this bit and come back to update)
I really liked this one! The ending was the best!!!
Awesome movie
