"Prom Night" is an average slasher film, not the worst but also not exceptional. Viewers enjoyed seeing the original scream queen in action. Criticisms include the unconvincing portrayal of school kids by older actors, which affected immersion. Overall, it was entertaining but mediocre.
Extremely mediocre. Like another review says: it's average, but isn't the worst thing out there. It was entertaining enough, but the fact that they're supposed to be playing school kids was kind of un-immersive. If it was set in college I probably wouldn't have taken off an entire point from my rating. I mean all the actors look like they're around 30 or older, so it was a little hard to believe and of them would be put in that setting, or also act the way they did. I'd rate it a low-level ''like'' rating 5.5/10
Good slasher flick. Love seeing the OG scream queen in action.Kids kill a fellow classmate. Years later they are getting murdered on prom night. He’s eventually stopped, it turns out he was one of the kids brothers who saw the murder years earlier. The sister kills him with a axe to the head.
An average slasher, but also not the worst I’ve seen.
