Mike Flanagan's "Oculus" is praised for its depth and minimal jump scares, leaning more towards psychological mystery/thriller/drama than supernatural horror. It creates intense moments without relying on gratuitous gore. Viewers enjoyed the film's ability to induce stress and doubt. 8.5/10.
It's great, even if you're not into supernatural horror. Honestly It leans more toward psychological mystery/thriller/drama than a supernatural movie most of the time. I had a really good time watching it. It gets intense, and doesn't have a lot of cheap scares or unnecessary gore/blood (some but it's not gratuitous). 8.5/10
The director Mike Flanagan it’s a good old horror author, with several series and movies, this time brings a familiar drama horror who makes doubt, even with whom are you watching the movie. The way how produce his stories makes the final film with some depth and without too many jump scares. A great way for stress like hell.
