The movie "Mirrors" was initially loved for its terrifying violence, though it's now seen as fantastical and unrealistic. The first part of the movie was less engaging, but viewing it as an Anime/CGI cartoon made it more enjoyable. One reviewer mentioned being scared of taking a bath again.
Im never taking a bath again :O
Loved it for one reason or another when it came out. Re-watching it with a diminished love of the genre/subgenre, and also little-to-no recollection of the plot. I'm pretty sure what I liked about it when it came out, was how terrifyingly violent it was at times (it's not constant though). Now I see while it's violent, it's pretty fantastical, i.e. not very realistic. Like how some movies can explain everything with something set in reality, while some others just say stuff like 'oh this can happen because: magic'. I rolled my eyes at most of the first 25% of the movie, but when I *did* start to think of it as more of an Anime/CGI cartoon, it became more enjoyable/immersive. I think I still 'love' it, but for very different reasons than before.
