As a father who has struggled with mental health I watched this from a lens of wanting to reaffirm how horribly devastating and selfish it is to choose to leave your family in this way. Especially younger children who will never understand…and will only ever be left to ponder why you didn’t love them enough to even want to see them grow up. The anguish is gutting…but the way the family copes after is devastatingly beautiful. It makes you appreciate family a lot.That all being said, the editing and structure were pretty lacking. As I’ve read others say, the seconds half pretty much just runs with no plot or purpose anymore. At a certain point I was fine turning it offf and I just went on the family’s Facebook instead and enjoyed reading updates. I’m not sure I’d go so far as to recommend someone else watch it…like a standalone great documentary…but it did do my soul good to watch and meet these peo
