The movie features intense, well-executed action sequences and great special effects. However, it doesn't quite match the previous trilogy's level, with some plot holes and a stretched storyline. The human vs. ape dynamic is appreciated, but there's concern about the franchise's future direction under Disney.
I like the new addition to the Ape Saga, BUT it's not at the same level that the previous trilogy. I hope that Disney doesn't wears off the franchise, they must has a clear ending point for the story, and not just for making money.
Not as good as the previous movies but definitely worth watching.
Pales in comparison to Reeves trilogy but still a decent blockbuster at the end of the day, kinda reminds me of the lotr/hobbit trilogies: one is one of the greatest pieces of cinema, other was a bit of a let down but still a fun time.
