A dark, raw film with a documentary feel, praised for realistic performances, especially Michael Rooker's. The story is simple, focusing on actions over motivations, leading to a violent, disturbing atmosphere. Noted for its bleakness and minimal gore compared to similar films.
A dense movie with a raw, dark atmosphere. The performances are great, very realistic, giving it a documentary feel. The story is very simple and straightforward, the focus here ends up being much more on the actions than the motivations, so the movie is very violent and disturbing, the graphic scenes appear at all times, and the feeling of discomfort only increases as the movie develops.
A very eerie and creepy movie… I give it a 3/4 of a thumbs up.
Loved Michael Rooker in this. He manages to make you *somewhat* feel sympathy for a complete psychopath. Honestly all the acting in this is great, each character makes you feel exactly what the director and writers intended.Definitely a dark, bleak film. A must watch for any big horror fans. TW for SA, both shown and talked about. There’s only a couple scenes that shows a lot of “gore”, but it’s not bad in comparison to similar films.
