Beautiful, grainy LA featuring one of the best action sequences in cinematic history. Al Pacino, Val Kilmer, Robert De Niro and Tom Sizemore (RIP) at the top of their game. An exceptional work of art from Michael Mann and a personal favorite of mine. Watch this sooner rather than later.

Although its romantic indulgences can drag, there are riveting heist sequences and compelling dramatic elements to spare.Toss in generational actors in peak form and you get a classic that cannot be missed.

A movie with an absolutely incredible cast, where the main characters are played by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The dark, gloomy tones and pessimistic atmosphere remain throughout, this melancholy together with the rawness and viscerality, create a stage for very well-built characters, and as the story develops, everything ends up gaining more layers of complexity. The movie is long, but the dynamics are excellent and it never loses pace. It's a masterpiece well worth the experience.
