Takashi Miike’s "First Love" is praised for its dark humor and Yakuza focus, reminiscent of films like "In Bruges" and "Snatch." However, the dubbing was criticized as terrible, affecting the viewing experience.
I'm not sure what to think. It felt like a comedy at times and I was also forced to watch dubbing and I thought the dubbing was terrible.
Thoroughly enjoyed Takashi Miike’s First Love - reminiscent of dark euro crime comedies (In Bruge, Snatch, Lock, Stock...), but with a Yakuza focus (and Miike’s signature violence). Would pair well with 2019’s Cold Pursuit.
