"Drag Me to Hell" is praised for its campy horror-comedy blend, with effective jump scares and a balance of haunting and humor. Some find it predictable and not gory enough due to its PG-13 rating. Opinions vary, with some loving its style and others finding it stupid and hard to stomach.
So fun
One of my all time favorite, go-to, cheeky horror/comedy films ever! Every time I watch it, I’m still totally amused and creeped out…in a fun way. It’s done so well, the balance between haunting and humor is perfect! Also, anything with Justin Long is on point!!
Like someone else said in a review: it's super campy. If you're into that you'll probably like it. Just don't expect any bewbs, or for it to be a gore-fest since it's a pg-13 movie. Great film for what it's trying to be, and it's just what I was in the mood for, horror-wise. (it does rely a little too much on jump scares but what're you gonna expect in a movie about demons, and curses?)(I can see why it might be hard for people to stomach this style of horror-fantasy though. I for example can't stand superhero and most fantasy films ever since the days or Lord of the Rings and the original x-men/spider man movies. IDC how good they technically are, I cringe for every second my eyes and ears are subjected to most of them, including the ones I loved as a kid, not just the newer stuff)
