Dirty Grandpa

I like all kinds of movies but I LOVE this kind of comedy. I haven’t been surprised by or enjoyed a movie this much since TED. I may have rewatched every great scene at least once. Since I think the movie is a fantastic compilation of great scenes, it took me hours to get through it but I laughed my a** off the entire time. I got a little fixated on the ping-pong style of conversation between Aubrey Plaza and Robert DeNiro. Zac Efron continues to surprise me with his comedic and dramatic range. That guy has classic Hollywood charm while also embodying and elevating modern styles. And of course, or maybe just IMO, you’ll never go wrong casting Jason Mantzoukas, especially when he’s along for the entire ride. That guy is a comedic genius. He can elicit so much from his scene partners. Caution without spoilers: if you aren’t into classic buddy comedy (i.e. Seth Rohan & James Franco; NOT Abbott & Costello or Laurel & Hardy), this film may not be for you. No spoilers but this film is dicks-aplenty.
