Great cast and acting with an excellent storyline that has unexpected twists. Based on a 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel, it offers an intriguing character study and explores dark human motivations. Grace Jenkins' portrayal of Trixie is notable. One review found it boring.
A 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel is the basis for the movie. This author also wrote The Talented Mr. Ripley & Strangers On A Train. The movie is a very interesting character study that sheds light on some of human kinds darker motivators and the unexpected affects these have on others. An excellent portrayal of unconventional therapy for a dysfunctionally toxic marriage. Grace Jenkins portrayal of Trixie, the daughter, is notable.
Boring
