Ratings & Reviews
The Reelgood Score is a comprehensive weighted index designed to evaluate movie & TV quality, deriving its value from a blend of Reelgood user engagement, external ratings metrics expressed through content popularity, and user feedback, including ratings such as "loved," "liked," and "disliked." The score is presented on a scale from 1 to 100, where 100 signifies content that is highly esteemed and positively rated within the community.
"Dawn of the Dead" was initially praised for advancements in acting, sound, and SFX but now feels dated. The humor stands out as timeless. Comparatively, "Shaun of the Dead" is favored as the best zombie movie. "World War Z" received a positive mention. Criticism includes it being plain and boring.
Chips was such a good boy
I loved it when it came out originally since it blew the only other two zombie movies I had ever seen out of the water (Night of the Living Dead cca.60's & cca.90's), what with advancements in acting technique, sound, and cinematography, costumes, makeup, SFX, etc. But today it feels just as dated as the pre 90's films. There's just way too many zombie movies that start on 'Day 1' of the outbreak, and they almost all get stale within a decade. The only thing that stands the test of time is the humor. It might be why the only zombie themed media that I still enjoy to this day are the comedies: Shaun of the Dead holds the crown for THE BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE of all time in my opinionhonorable mention goes to World War Z, I only saw it a couple times, but I remember really liking it, so I didn't re-watch it to preserve my opinion. Not a lot of mainstream shows/movies stand the test of time. Most are huge disappointments tbh
Snyder starts without soul, and with a movie plain and boring.
