Scorsese commands comedy, horror and spirituality in Bringing Out the Dead. The plot revolves around Frank, a burnt out New York City Paramedic, who struggles with the memories of his past patients and the chaotic city around him.Honestly, this movie is pretty damn good. Cage is great but I really think the stars are the supporting cast. Ving Rhames and Tom Sizemore are on another level. I think this is my favorite Ving performance. However, Jon Goodman and Patricia Arquette deserve an honorable mention.Movie rating: 4/5Cage rating: 3/5Mr. Cage was able to tune into some of that token insanity in this one. I mean he’s playing an alcoholic paramedic what do you expect? The best part is that it fits so well. His performance never feels out of character, rather it blends perfectly with the surround pandemonium.
