The movie has great action sequences and fun comedy, but the story takes an illogical turn. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's chemistry is strong, providing many laughs. However, the film feels outdated with references that would have been better in 2008. The soundtrack is forgettable. 2.5/5.
This movie was okay. Action sequences were great, the comedy was fun most of the time but my goodness the story takes a 90 degree turn that makes no damn sense. Whatever, that’s fine. Is bad boys the next fast franchise? Because that’s what they were trying to do here.Despite the non-sensical story and fan service Will Smith is charming but cheesy. His chemistry with Martin Lawrence is undeniable and it feels like these two are old friends. There are a surprising amount of laughs mixed in as well. Also - there’s a 4chan AND elephant man reference in this movie. Two jokes that would have really landed in 2008, when this movie should have been released.That being said, let sleeping dogs lie folks. We don’t need franchises with sequels 20+ years after their last release. (The Matrix 4, Top Gun 2) Finally, this is the most forgettable soundtrack in the series, which I can’t forgive. Where’s Shake Ya Tail feather??2.5/5

A great idea to change director, this one is at the same level as the first one, it’s still hollow but now it’s entertaining again.
