"Avatar: The Way of Water" features stunning visuals and immersive world-building, especially in IMAX 3D. However, many found it overly long with repetitive elements and a predictable plot. While some praised its complexity and character depth, others felt it didn't live up to the original and was too reliant on CGI.
Zoe Saldana carries, as usual, in this scifi adventure/war movie who’s beautiful otherworldly environments offer an incredibly detailed and immersive visual experience.Another reviewer said: “Im glad I didn’t take the time to see it in theaters”No disrespect but seeing this in 3-D at the theaters (especially Dolby Cinema or iMAX) was the ENTIRE point. You missed out big time. My theatrical experience absolutely DESTROYED my at home viewing, despite my 75” 4K TV with an 8 speaker, 3 subwoofer surround system.A complete A/V cream dream. Not every movie has to be American History X.
If we’re talking about more than just the the special FX (which were impressive) than it was just an OK movie at best. The first movie was enough. I’m glad I didn’t feel the need to see it in theaters. After seeing it I would have left the cinema wondering why I paid to see it. “Dune” was better and I didn’t really like that movie either, but at least it wasn’t predictable.
It was good but longer than it had to be. So much fluff and extra, get on with the actual story!
