The degree of truth to this film is that there are a lot of lonely people in the world who aren't getting what they want in the bedroom. IMO, this is because people don't always communicate what they want or they do and their partner refuses to yield. In this film, the couple, fortunately for their well-being, accidentally finds out what kindles his fire, but this would not be without problems. This goes unmentioned, but people's biologies change over time, and couples sometimes don't understand that what was possible at age 20 with minimal effort isn't so easy at age 50, and while the desire might still exist, the effort needed influences the desire.
