With the fall TV season quickly approaching, there’s not much time to catch up on all of your favorite shows before they come back with new episodes. There are plenty of returning favorites in the line-up, and that means finally seeing your favorite characters again and following up on jaw-dropping season finales.

After you catch up on all the shows on this list, your cliffs will no longer hang.

Monday, Sept. 24th:

The Resident (FOX) – Hulu | Fox | Yahoo View

This medical drama is situated in Atlanta, Georgia in a prestigious hospital, where medical politics and patient rights play a far bigger role in the show than the doctor’s love lives do. The show is returning this September for its second season.

Another medical drama on the cusp of its sophomore season is ABC’s The Good Doctor, starring Freddie Highmore as a surgeon named Shaun Murphy who is a savant autistic.

Tuesday, Sept. 25th:

This is Us (NBC) – Hulu | NBC

If you haven’t caught up with the first two seasons of NBC’s runaway hit This is Us then you must have been living under a rock for the past two years. This fan favorite is returning for season three on September 25th.

The Gifted (FOX) – Hulu | Fox | Yahoo View

The gifted is one of the latest comic book television series that has won audiences over. The series follows the Strucker twins following their (very public) discovery of their powers. In addition to dealing with their newfound powers, the twins and their parents must seek refuge with an underground group of mutants.

Returning for season 5, the hype around Empire has died down from its first season glory. But for fans of the show, the drama is no less addicting.

Thursday, Sept. 27th:

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) – Netflix

Returning for season 15 is the ABC staple Grey’s Anatomy. With some cast change-ups and shake-ups, the show is promising another addicting season, and catching up with all of your favorite characters is definitely mandatory.

The Good Place – Netflix

One of the most serialized television sitcoms, with plot twists, magical portals, and philosophical ramifications, The Good Place returns for its third season on September 27th. The show stars Kristen Bell and Ted Danson in leading roles.

Wednesday, Oct. 3rd:

SEAL Team – CBS All Access | CBS

SEAL Team’s cast includes the always-working David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, and Jessica Pare. This military drama returns to the airwaves at the beginning of October and promises new action-packed storylines.

Thurs, Oct. 4th:

Will & Grace (NBC) – Hulu | NBC

This 1990s hit came back last year in a big way, complete with the original cast and rave reviews. If you haven’t had a chance to catch the revival yet, now is the time. The show returns on October 4th for its 10th season.

Sunday, Oct. 7th:

Madam Secretary (CBS) – Netflix | CBS All Access

Returning for season 5, Madam Secretary stars Tea Leoni in a strong role that is becoming one of the best of her career. Leoni plays Elizabeth McCord, a CIA analyst-turned Secretary of State.

Wednesday, Oct. 10th:

Riverdale (The CW) – Netflix

Riverdale is returning for its third season after perhaps one of its darkest storylines yet. A neo-noir version of the Archie comics, Riverdale is pure eye candy, and the third season looks to be another scorcher.

Friday, Oct. 26th

Midnight, Texas (NBC) – Hulu | NBC | Yahoo View

Based on a series of novels from author Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas is a supernatural drama that is not one to miss: a tale of ghosts, psychics, angels, witches, assassins, shapeshifters, and vampires. The show is returning for its second season just in time for Halloween.
