7 Totally Worth It Justin Timberlake Movies

It’s that time of the year again, you guys! Time for my favorite annual meme and for really bad Justin Timberlake jokes. If you were never a big ‘NSYNC fan, then this one is kind of hard to explain, so it’s probably best not to overthink it.

So just because it’s gonna be May, here are 7 totally worth-it Justin Timberlake movies:

Friends with Benefits – SnagFilms

Starring Mila Kunis as his leading lady, this might be Timberlake’s only proper romantic comedy. Jamie is a recruiter who is trying to set Dylan up with a job. If you’re having trouble figuring out why this film is so light-hearted and fun, it’s because it comes from director Will Gluck who also directed Easy A.

Trolls – Netflix

Trolls is in part a daring rescue mission, and in part just a good excuse to dance. Pairing Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake together, two of our favorite songbirds, was a genius move by director Mike Mitchell.

Inside Llewyn Davis – Amazon Prime

In 1961 New York City, Oscar Isaac is a struggling folk singer and Timberlake is a partner and rival. Inside Llewyn Davis also stars John Goodman and Carey Mulligan and was directed by the Coen brothers.

Wonder Wheel – Rent or buy from $4.99 and up.

The setting is Brooklyn, Coney Island, 1950s. Justin Timberlake plays Mickey, a lifeguard who hopes to someday become a playwright. The costumes, atmosphere, and setting are enough to make this one worth the watch.

In Time – DirecTV Now

This sci-fi flick directed by Andrew Niccol, like many sci-fi flicks, is about the class struggle between the rich and the poor. Here, time is a currency and the poor are just out of luck. Here, Timberlake plays a young man suspected of a crime he didn’t commit and who is determined to alter the status quo.

The Social Network – DirecTV Now/Crackle

This one may be kind of cheating because JT’s role (as Napster founder Sean Parker) takes a back seat to the rest of the cast. The Social Network is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, and also stars Armie Hammer in his breakout role as the Winklevoss twins.

Trouble with the Curve – Netflix

Clint Eastwood plays an aging baseball recruit who may be facing the end of his career. Amy Adams is his daughter who is forced to tag along on what may be his last scouting trip. And Timberlake plays a talented batter who just can’t hit a curveball. Trouble with the Curve is the first film in which John Goodman and Timberlake star together.
